Over 25 years of experience in design (product, visual, UI, Experience), research and team and project management. I studied Computer Science & Math at University of Minho, Portugal, and Art&design at Monserrat School of Arts at Viana do Castelo, Portugal. My love for innovative technologies and strong technologic background led me to co-create EDIGMA where I was the Co-founder, CTO and Chief Designer Officer. EDIGMA is an award-winning company designing interactive experiences and digital signage projects and DISPLAX (a product of EDIGMA) the world leader in large scale and high-performance capacitive multitouch transparent film where I have a patent (US20120242619A1 - Method and device for high-sensitivity multi-point detection and use thereof in interaction through the air, vapour or blown air masses. I helped EDIGMA/DISPLAX to grow 70+ employees and helped create a worldwide network of international resellers for their products and services. There I invented, designed and prototyped hundreds of custom online and physical products for clients like Microsoft, Bosh, Ikea, Volvo, Mercedes, NASA, CNN, OPTIMUS, Telefonica, etc. EDIGMA/DISPLAX won 11+ awards, being the most important: 200 MOST INNOVATIVE COMPANIES IN THE WORLD by Red Herring. Fun fact: Displax was created before the original iPhone was launched. I am also a cryptocurrency/blockchain enthusiast since 2017 and an experienced daily trader.
