I am a Data Scientist, turned Product Manager, turned Startup Founder. My last 13 years in tech was a rollercoaster but I’m not done with it yet. I want to enable more individuals to navigate and excel in professional roles. Having worked in consulting, big corporates and growing startups, I can’t say I’ve seen it all but I have seen a lot.

With a high school maths teacher and an actuary (fancy maths) as parents, perhaps it’s no surprise I entered the world of STEM at university. Unlimited help with maths homework certainly gave me an upper hand. As the oldest and only sister of brothers, being an outspoken woman in a “man’s world” also feels pretty normal to me.

I entered the professional world as a data scientist at Quantium. They held an upstanding culture around voicing your opinion. I'm not shy about sharing my opinions, or afraid to get on stage, or interrupt a meeting. In a male-dominated industry, confidence got me into meetings that mattered.

The gender gap hit hard when I became a founder. So many groups, funds, programmes, specifically for females to get their foot in the door, made it clear their presence was lacking.
