In my sophomore year at AASTU, I entered the world of Software Engineering. 👨‍💻 Starting with C++, I grasped the essence of computer operations. 💻 Progressing, I delved into diverse languages like Java, JavaScript, PHP and MYSQL. 📚 Crafting projects like sales management, Grain mill market, and supply chain systems, collaborating in teams, transformed me as a Software Engineer. 😎 The following year, whispers reached out to me about A2SV. 🤫 An organization aiding African students in preparation for interviews with top-tier tech companies. 🎓 Intrigued, I decided to dive in, pondering, "What do I have to lose?" 🤷‍♂️ The journey began with technical and behavioral interviews, eventually leading to acceptance into the program. 🎉 A vigorous training phase unfolded, spanning several months. ⏳ I was first introduced to Python that opened up new vistas. 🐍 Over a dedicated three-week period, I underwent an immersion into this language, adapting myself to its unique environment. 🧠 Amid exploration, I mastered arrays, stacks, queues, linked lists, trees, and graphs. 🌳 Algorithms like sorting, recursion, binary search, graph theory, BFS, greedy, and dynamic programming broadened my horizons. 📈 LeetCode supported me in conquering intricate coding challenges. 💪 and with my dedication led to the resolution of 480 complex problems. 🏆 At A2SV, we had a variety of opportunities. 🤹‍♂️ Among the most memorable were the camps where we spent more time learning in-depth about data structures and algorithms and held numerous contests on them. 🥇 We also participated in hackathons where we attempted to develop an educational platform for each university's learning process that would help keep students interested in what they were learning. 🎓 This transformative year was also marked by the honing of my soft skills that cultivated within me qualities of teamwork, effective communication, and self-assuredness, attributes crucial to a Software Engineer's success. 🤝 Today, my aspirations have evolved. 💭 My deepest desire is to collaborate with engineers from across the globe with peers alike. 🌎 I yearn to be a part of a tapestry of ideas and challenges, where innovation thrives. 💡 Moreover, my goal is to pay forward the opportunities that have been extended to me. 🙏 I aspire to secure a role within a top-tier tech company, not only for personal advancement but also to contribute to groundbreaking and imaginative solutions that extend opportunities to all. 🌟 After all, a problem remains unsolved until it benefits all. 👐 🌟🌟 Biruk Mesfin 🌟🌟 | Learn more about Biruk Mesfin's work experience, education, connections & more by visiting their profile on LinkedIn
