I help accountants and auditors turn insights into impact by improving their business writing. · Hey there, I’m Gary Bandy—a public finance accountant with over 30 years of hands-on experience in local government, financial management, and education. Think of me as the go-to guy for making sense of public sector finances.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;My Journey&lt;br&gt;I kicked off my career as a trainee accountant in local government and worked my way up to Director of Financial Services at Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council. In 2005, I decided to branch out and started my own consultancy. Since then, I&#39;ve been diving deep into public financial management projects both in the UK and overseas.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Teaching and Writing&lt;br&gt;I’ve written two textbooks on public financial management and developed a bunch of online courses, including a certificate course for ACCA and several courses for The Open University Business School. Whether it’s in-person or online, teaching is a passion of mine.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;New Direction&lt;br&gt;Lately, I&#39;ve shifted gears to focus on helping accountants sharpen their writing and presentation skills.
