       Artistic duo @hypereikon’s (Sebastian and Constanza) work explores generative processes for audiovisual creation, through composition of electronic music, live coding of visuals and music and image-video synthesis with AI. “With technology, we express sensations that allude to speculative and complex dreamlike ecologies, inspired by our Latin American environment, that give space to the interpretation of other realities.

We are inspired by the inter-species speculation of flowers and insects, combining species with one another and exploring the possibilities that AI gives us, guiding us toward unexpected places. We want to create living images that do not represent existing beings, but speculate realities that only exist in those interpretable images which are subjected to abstraction.

There is an inherent artistic boldness with the possibilities of self-learning that digital creation entails. Virtual reality must dare to converge in ideas different from our reality architecturally and economically. What excites us most about the future for digital art is the possibility of generating more perspectives on our political, imaginary and global poetic environment, through the creation and circulation of art in a diverse context in terms of ethnicity and gender.

Our aim is to establish a dialogue and sensitivity to the technology we inhabit, which impacts the way we view the world. Turning to tools through experimentation and play, while denying the fear that may arise from not understanding complex technologies, is a drive to unthread complex codes while constantly learning and creating with them. We aim to search in the latent space of generation possibilities for a nook where we can express ourselves.”
